Willow Red Media was founded on the belief that broadcast-standard production shouldn't be the exclusive preserve of major networks and global agencies. We're a team of experienced broadcast and production professionals - with credits spanning the Olympics, Sky Sports, the BBC, and major live events - now focused on bringing that same standard to corporate clients, event agencies, and sports organisations.
Based in Hertfordshire with a dedicated podcast studio in Berkhamsted, we work across the UK on live streaming, hybrid events, event filming, and video production. We take the work seriously. We don't take ourselves too seriously.

Azim Shah
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Azim has spent 15 years at the sharp end of live broadcast, working as a director and vision mixer on some of the biggest events in sport and entertainment. His recent credits include the Paris Olympics 2024, The Ashes 2025, the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics 2026, and The Hundred Auction on Sky Sports Main Event - the latter commissioned directly by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
He has worked with broadcasters and organisations including Sky Sports, TNT Sports, the BBC, ITV, the ECB, the ICC, Warner Bros. Discovery, and IMG, as well as brands including Microsoft, Google, and SEGA.
Willow Red Media grew from Azim's conviction that the reliability, technical rigour, and calm under pressure that live broadcast demands should be the standard for every client, not just the ones with a network behind them. He also makes an exceptional cup of tea.

Andy Smith
Andy brings over a decade of technical expertise to every Willow Red project. From building broadcast galleries and studio spaces to installing lighting rigs and managing complex AV setups, Andy's technical range is exceptional - and his ability to solve problems quickly and quietly under pressure makes him invaluable on live events.
Having worked alongside Azim for years, Andy understands instinctively what a production needs technically to deliver at the highest level. He also has a weakness for fried chicken.

Chris Leworthy
LEAD CAMERA OPERATOR
Chris is one of the most experienced camera operators in the team's network, with 15 years across broadcast, sport, and live events. His credits include work with IMG, Sky Sports, and TNT Sports, and he and Azim go back far enough to have interviewed Harry Kane together for Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Calm under pressure, consistently reliable, and universally liked by clients and crew - Chris is the kind of operator who makes every shoot run better than it should.
