Willow Red Media produces podcasts end to end - multi-camera filming, editing, social clips and distribution, recorded in our Berkhamsted studio or on location across Hertfordshire and London.
Filming a podcast well is the same discipline as directing live multi-camera television: knowing where to cut, when to hold, and how to keep a conversation visually alive. That's what our team does for a living, on productions for Sky Sports, TNT Sports and the BBC - it's why our podcasts look like broadcast rather than a webcam.
What we deliver
Every show is different. We'll talk through your format, your guests and where the episodes are going before you arrive — so on the day you can concentrate on the conversation, not the kit.
Our podcast setups typically include:
- Multi-camera filming with live switching or full-resolution ISO recordings
- Broadcast microphones and individually recorded audio tracks per guest
- Studio lighting designed for two, three or four-person setups
- Edited full episodes plus vertical clips for social
- Show notes, chapter markers and upload-ready deliverables

Rich and Ben: The Sobermen Podcast
Rich and Ben record The Sobermen Podcast with us regularly at our Berkhamsted studio. This episode featured comedian and presenter Brian Conley.
Because the studio is permanently rigged, setup is quick - cameras, lights and microphones are already in place, so we're only adjusting for the number of guests, the lighting look and the set dressing. The rest is technical checks: audio levels, camera focus and we're recording.
We ran three cameras and vision mixed the episode as live, the same way we'd cut a live broadcast. That means the show is essentially finished when the recording stops, rather than sitting in an edit for a week. With four professionals in the room and Brian on form, it made for a genuinely funny episode - and enough usable material that we cut the session into two full episodes rather than one.
We record episodes for clients who handle their own production but we also offer full production and editing for anyone who wants the whole thing taken off their hands.
Studio or on Location?
Recording in our Berkhamsted studio is quicker and cheaper - everything is permanently rigged, so we're only adjusting for guest numbers and the look you want. On location makes sense when your guests can't travel, when the setting is part of the show, or when you're recording around an event. We bring the same cameras, lighting and audio either way.
Guide Pricing
Studio sessions start from £300 per recording, including multi-camera filming and broadcast audio. Full production — editing, social clips, show notes and distribution — is typically £900 per episode.
Series bookings work out lower per episode, and most clients find a regular slot easier to plan around than one-off bookings.
What moves the price: number of guests, recording length, how many episodes you're cutting from each session, and how much social content you need.

Do I need to come to your studio, or can you film at our offices?

Both. Our Berkhamsted studio is permanently rigged, so setup is quick and the cost is lower. If it's easier for your guests, we'll bring the same cameras, lighting and audio to your offices — that just needs a little more setup time on the day.
How many people can you film at once?

We can record up to 4 people in the studio and up to 6 people on location.
Do you handle publishing to Spotify and Apple?

Yes. Publishing to Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube is included in our production packages, along with show notes and chapter markers.
What do I need to prepare before recording?

We'd recommend planning your episodes before the session. A clear format, a list of prepared questions and a couple of ideas for social clips make a big difference. If you're not sure where to start, we'll help you shape it.
Can you film an existing podcast we already produce?

Yes. We can record your podcast and hand over the raw files for your own editor, or take it through post-production ourselves — whichever suits how you already work.
